Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year. Having an excuse to get creative with costumes and makeup (creepy or not) is great, as are nights of horror films, parties and apple bobbing!
As per usual, I was ready way in advance…
Dressing up in imaginative outfits is all very well for a raucous party, but how do you get into the spirit (pun intended…) of Halloween in the run up to the big night without terrifying the local children?
I’ve been on the hunt for some pieces that are seasonal enough to get you in the mood for the most frightening night of the year and yet subtle enough to wear all year round.
For the girls…
This Urban Outfitters skull cropped tee is versatile and can be worn with just about anything! Find it here.
This lace skull dress is a great way to get your creep on without looking creepy. Buy it here.
For more of an impact, try these gorgeous cobweb tights from ASOS.
And not forgetting the guys…
This skull t-shirt is a great way to add a little spookiness to your wardrobe without going over-the-top (and it’s currently on sale! Find it here).
To keep warm when branches start tapping on your window at night, invest in this Jack & Jones mini skull print hoodie. Get it here.
For a less casual take on skull print, try this shirt from ASOS.
And for those who aren’t afraid to go for something a little different, this bold Rum Knuckles wolf print t-shirt from River Island should do the trick (or treat). Find it here.
So whether you love to go all out and party all night, or would rather stay in and hide under your duvet from the ghouls on the streets, there are plenty of pieces to help you look sartorially sound this Halloween.
Eat, drink and be scary… Happy Halloween!
