This Week I’m Coveting… The Patterned Jacket

A recent and unplanned purchase of mine (that in theory I can’t really afford) was this gorgeous patterned jacket from Primark.

It was an impulse buy that I was a little unsure of, but after wearing it this weekend I’ve decided that I love it. The patterned jacket is an investment piece that I’d advise every woman to buy.

There has been a huge influx of patterned and textured jackets on the high street this season, and they can be found in almost every shop at the moment.

Here are a few of my favourites –

This gorgeous tapestry bomber jacket from Mango, £59.99, is reminiscent of willow patterned bone china.

River Island jacquard jacket, £35.00

This Forever 21 jacket, £19.75, has an almost tartan-like pattern (see my How To Wear Tartan post for inspiration) and the stripes emulate the current trend for neon in a more subtle way.

H&M jacquard weave jacket, £29.99

The patterned jacket works well with basic outfits to make a real statement – I wear mine with jeans and plain dresses, and minimal jewellery. It can be worn as casual daytime wear and can also work to make a stunning evening outfit for dinner and drinks.
