How To Wear… Statement Necklaces

One of my favourite ways to accessorise this season is with a statement necklace.

Chunky chains, neon colours and big jewels are a great way to decorate your décolletage and bring a little glamour to your outfit, and with almost every high street shop offering a huge range of these bold pieces, you can pick them up for next to nothing.

The majority of mine are from Primark (cheap and cheerful) but other shops such as Dorothy Perkins, Topshop and River Island have some gorgeous necklaces for affordable prices. Below are a few of my favourite pieces that I would definitely recommend investing in…

For a simple yet stylish statement, this chain necklace is perfect. £15.99 from Zara.

Gold and red are a perfect pairing for Autumnal style. Tribal-style rope necklace, £16.50 from Miss Selfridge.

Similar to my pearl choker (seen in the top image) this necklace from Zara is a steal at £19.99

This beaded necklace from Miss Selfridge is currently on sale for £5 (and I may have accidentally slipped and bought it whilst writing this blog post – oops).

Wear them with jumpers, shirts, dresses, low necks, high necks, around collars… The possibilities are pretty much endless. They work for daytime and evening, casual and smart – the statement necklace really is one of the more versatile pieces out this season (and the more you own, the better!).
